- ✅ Number plates readable and secure
- ✅ Windscreen washer fluid topped up

- ✅ Horn works (don’t overdo it — once is enough!)
- ✅ Tyres: Minimum 1.6mm tread depth + no visible damage
- ✅ Mirrors intact and adjustable
- ✅ Seatbelts fasten and retract properly
- ✅ No warning lights stuck on (engine, ABS, airbag)
