π Basic Checks (Do These at Home)
- β All lights work? (headlights, indicators, brake lights, number plate lights)
- β Number plates readable and secure
- β Windscreen washer fluid topped up
- β Wipers clear the screen properly β no splits or streaks
- β Horn works (donβt overdo it β once is enough!)
- β Tyres: Minimum 1.6mm tread depth + no visible damage
- β Mirrors intact and adjustable
- β Seatbelts fasten and retract properly
- β No warning lights stuck on (engine, ABS, airbag)
π Under-the-Bonnet Basics
- β Engine oil level is between min and max
- β Coolant level topped up
- β Brake fluid isnβt below the minimum line
- β Battery is secure (no loose clamps)
